You just might see a lot of Mustangs all at one time in April. The Great American Pony Drive is coming through Central Arkansas. It’s a group of Ford Mustang enthusiasts with members from across the nation.
The Central Arkansas Mustangers are hosting the tour. If you’d like to get in on the fun, you might want to join the club. Or if you just want to watch, find them at one of the locations on the tour.

On Tuesday, April 9th, the group plans to drive take a drive from Highway 10 in Little Rock to Perryville. They plan on having lunch at Riverside Grocery in Benton, then driving to Mashburn Mustang Museum in Traskwood. In the evening, dinner is planned at Whole Hog Barbeque in Bryant. Spectators are welcome, but if you’re going to join the tour, you must register. See info at http://ponydrive.us/.
The full tour begins in Birmingham AL, then hits Central Arkansas. On other days, the group plans on driving through Mustang OK (of course); Tulsa OK; Joplin, Springfield, Branson, Cuba, Cullen, and St. Louis MO; Springfield and Pontiac IL.
The Central Arkansas Mustangers were founded in 1980. They have been a Regional Group of the Mustang Club of America since 1986. They meet for dinner on the 2nd Thursday of each month (except December). Eat at 6 p.m., meet at 7 p.m. The meeting location is Larry’s Pizza, 801 S. Bowman, Little Rock Rock. Visitors and speakers with an automotive interest are always welcome. They are an active club with social activities, cruises and shows.
