Several MySaline followers have been contacting us in the past few days because there is visible activity at the former Hardee’s restaurant at 2006 N. Reynolds Road. The Hardee’s location closed in the Fall of 2018 and there has been no business activity until the last week or so, when passersby saw a crew painting and placing papers in the windows.
So okay, let’s get on with the answer. I know Saline County loves their “yardbird,” we also love Mexican food and grilled meat. This new restaurant is all three of those. Grill Pollo describes themselves on their website as “perfect fire-grilled chicken spiced with Latin American flavors and marinated in our chef’s superior seasoning blend. Our birds are always fresh—NEVER frozen.”
They just entered into a 20-year lease agreement beginning in December 2021. There is one other location of this restaurant in Little Rock out west on Cantrell Road and opened early in the pandemic. Their first day was June 1st, 2020. I called that location to confirm details before bringing the news to readers.
The manager tells me they hope to open the Bryant location in late Spring or early Summer if everything goes well. They have some renovating to do – that was the activity that many saw before contacting us. They also will need to bring in staff and get a permit for a sign and pass inspection by the Department of Health, so be patient as they work through the details.
They said they are happy to be coming to Bryant to serve their fusion of grilled and Latin styles. See more about the restaurant on their Facebook page.
