Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, along with heads of other agencies held a press conference on Thursday, March 19th, 2020 to introduce several new restrictions for citizens, due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
Hutchinson noted that in light of the accelerating amount of cases of the virus – it had risen to 62 cases at the time of the conference – the state is keeping students out of school another three weeks beyond Spring Break. That date is April 17th.
He also stipulates that all gyms should close indoors and restaurants and bars should be closed for inside service, using only drive-up and delivery services.
