ANNOUNCEMENTS
Governor Hutchinson, Secretary Romero, and Secretary Preston made these announcements today:
- Number of cases are lower today but cautiously optimistic because testing capacity has decreased
- 92,000 continued claims on unemployment
- Federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance compensation ends the week ending of July 25 – this is the additional $600 people on UI and PUA were receiving

There are currently 35,246 cases (up 591)
- 7 of 591 in correctional facilities
- 6,876 active cases (140 in nursing homes, 916 correctional facilities, 5,820 community)
- Of the 591 new cases: 80 in Pulaski County, 38 Washington Co, 46 Benton Co, 33 Craighead Co, 30 Faulkner and Garland Co, 24 Pope Co, 22 Crittenden Co
474 hospitalized (down 14)
380 deaths (up 6)
107 on ventilators (down 3)
27,990 recovered (up 707)
3,933 tests yesterday

Briefing was made from NWA today (Washington County Data):
- 22% overall positivity rate
- 72% cases in 44 years and under age range
- 17.9% in children
- 39 deaths – 60% from Marshallese community
Saline County numbers at the end of the day yesterday were:
Total Positive: 625
Active Positive: 153
Recovered: 469
Deaths: 3
Negatives: 11,948
