There are currently 24,512 cases (up 259)
• 5,486 active cases (117 nursing homes, 273 correctional facilities, 5,096 community)
• Of the 259 cases: 14 in Washington Co, 26 Benton Co, 57 Pulaski Co
369 hospitalized (up 32)
301 deaths (up 9)
83 on ventilators (up 2)
18,725 recovered (up 891)
3,366 tests yesterday

Governor Hutchinson and Secretary Smith made these announcements today:
1. Within our region, cases per 100,000 in Arkansas are up, but also because testing per 100,000 has gone up too. We need to continue lowering our positivity rate and case number increase.
2. Weekly unemployment continued claim and initial claim numbers continue to decrease
• Amazon fulfillment center coming to Arkansas, will create 1,000 jobs
3. Over 43,000 approved for PUA and over $330 million dispersed
4. How to Report Unemployment Fraud
• UI fraud has become an issue nationwide and possibly Arkansas
• Visit dws.arkansas.gov and complete secure form
• Email [email protected]
• Call 501-682-1058 to speak with ADWS fraud unit
• File a police report
• Over 20,000 UI accounts have been flagged, could be from simple error, please call ADWS fraud unit.
