Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:
“Most numbers continue to trend in the right direction: new cases and hospitalizations are down; vaccinations are up by 13,571. This trend reflects our drive to beat the coronavirus. Let’s keep doing everything that we’ve been doing so that we can rid Arkansas of COVID-19.”
Here are today’s COVID-19 statewide numbers:
In its Wednesday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported:
- 403 new cases;
- 4,261 active cases;
- 372 hospitalized, down 25 from yesterday;
- 85 on ventilators, down 6 from yesterday;
- 12 deaths added today, for a total of 5,273;
- 323,756 total cases;
- 247,719 recoveries;
- 8,154 PCR tests;
- 1,331 antigen tests.
The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are:
- Benton, 64;
- Washington, 57;
- Garland, 28;
- Pulaski, 27; and
- Sebastian, 19.
Saline County numbers are as follows:
Total Cumulative Cases: 11,459
Confirmed Cases: 8,510
Probable Cases: 2,949
Total Active Cases: 124
Active Confirmed Cases: 71
Active Probable Cases: 53
Total Recovered Cases: 11,179
Recovered Confirmed Cases: 8,306
