One Benton family is not letting the lack of Easter events get them out of the spirit. They know what Easter is not about bunnies and eggs, however, they want to encourage children in the community and this meant one thing for the Gipsons. Inflatables. See the text of Sid Gipson’s social media post below and maybe take the kids for a drive to see this bunny sanctuary.
These are very difficult and challenging times for all of us. In order to help slow the spread of the Corona Virus, we can’t gather in large groups, go to church, or do many other things that we have always taken for granted. It is suddenly a new life which has created anxiety and uncertainty about what lies ahead.
Last week Ms. Pat said to me, “We HAVE to do SOMETHING to help give people hope, bring a smile to their faces, and lift their spirits.” Then, she said those three magic words that captured my attention and started the wheels turning: “WE NEED BLOWUPS!”
With the inspiration from Ms. Pat, my inner Clark Griswold kicked in, and I searched the internet for the right inflatables. As luck would have it, I was able to find exactly what we needed: Easter bunnies, happily going about their business painting and hiding Easter eggs; and a family of bunnies smiling and waving, happily anticipating what is to come.
Starting today, this display will be active from noon until 10:00 p.m. every day through Easter. The display is located at 1815 West Lakeview Drive in Benton. We invite everybody to drive by and view the display as often and as long as you want. This is our gift of hope and happiness to everybody as we come together to defeat the tremendous challenges we face.
We realize the display does not depict the real and very important meaning of Easter. However, our intent is to simply bring a smile or two.
We hope you enjoy this token of our love for you, and we pray that you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy throughout this ordeal.
From the Gipson family to you,
Sid, Pat, and Sir Angus
