Four Books With Cozy Fall Vibes
It’s fall, y’all! Or we can at least HOPE that Arkansas will get with the program and give us some fall weather, right? The time for cute hats, sweaters, and all things pumpkin spice is upon us. I’ve made a list of good books/series to read and get you in an Autumn state of mind!
The Brothers Maledetti Series by Nichole Van
Yes. Just gonna go ahead and shamelessly promote Nichole Van again and again. I’ve mentioned this series a couple of times here and I’m not sorry about it. The setting in Florence, and the Italian dishes mentioned give this book such a cozy feeling. Bonus: Nichole gives recipes for some of the dishes at the end of these books! It’s a clean, funny, heart warming, emotional, romantic series with a bit of the paranormal on the side.
End of the Line series by Sariah Wilson
It’s finally football season again! (Woo pig!) So, here’s a clean contemporary romance featuring a couple of college football players and the women who drive them crazy. Both books are super sweet, plus there’s football. Sariah Wilson always makes me laugh and this series is delightful. You could easily finish both books in one weekend.
A Proper Scandal by Esther Hatch
A feel good historical romance. There are no surprises with this one. It’s your typical poor woman whose only hope is to marry well, falls in love with someone but must choose between financial security and happiness. We all know the drill, but even if it’s predictable…it’s still just so good. Esther Hatch is one of the best at historical romance and this is technically the first in a series, but you could read it as a stand-alone.
Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
Why are mysteries always better in the fall? I usually end up on a mystery/thriller binge around Halloween, they just hit different when the leaves are falling and the temperatures are dropping. The Truly Devious series is a YA Mystery that speaks to my true crime, Sherlock Holmes loving heart. I’ve only read two of them, but I haven’t been able to solve the mysteries on my own so far. They are full of quirky and clever characters and perfect for a crisp fall weekend read.
So, take this list, put on your softest cardigan, make a cup of coffee, curl up with a warm blanket and read your heart out this fall!
Krystle Goodman is a crazy cat lady, who loves to drink exorbitant amounts of coffee, and read a shocking amount of books.
