Do you know what these things have in common?
• Voter ID Law
• Death Row Executions
• Dicamba (Farming Pesticide) Ban
• Legalizing Casinos
• The State’s Immunity from Lawsuits
• Arkansas Whistle-Blower Act
• Elected Officials’ Salary
• Medical Marijuana
They are all issues that have been in the Arkansas Supreme Court in the past 6 weeks. That means there’s a group of only seven people deciding on these issues for all of Arkansas. They are: one Chief Justice and six Associate Justices on our state’s highest court.
There are 3 candidates for State Supreme Court Assoc. Justice, Pos. 3. Whoever wins this vote in the Primary Election on May 22nd, 2018, will serve in that capacity for an eight-year term. That’s January 2019 until December 2026. We should choose wisely.
