Benton Public Schools
As of now, I -30 Westbound is backed up due to flooding and is currently being rerouted off of exit 116 to hwy 229.
At this time, the Eastbound lanes appear not to be as affected as the Westbound lanes. With heavy rain in the forecast tonight, we are not sure what impact this could have in the morning.
Just in case we want you to be aware of some of the routes that may be impacted.
Mountain View routes: 58, 55, 70, 46, 64, 52, and 62
Caldwell routes: 47, 49. 57, 50, and 68
Our transportation team will be out surveying the roads early in the morning. We will send notifications if any of our routes are affected.
Bryant Public Schools
Boone Road has been closed due to flooding. Buses will be using alternate flood routes which may impact the time students are picked up today (Wednesday, January 24). This will affect students in the Hurricane Lake Apartment Complex, Heritage Farms, Valley Forge, Cedar Ridge, Falcon Way, and other subdivisions along North Shore Drive (Routes 9, 19, 36, 69 & 70).
Students should be at their bus stops at the normal time; however, students may be picked up later than normal due to buses taking alternate flood routes.
Bryant Police Dept:
Bryant Officers along with Bryant Street Department are on scene at Boone Road and Bishop Park. The area is closed at this time due to flood waters across the roadway.
Do NOT drive around barricades, they are there to keep you safe. Remember, Turn Around, Don’t Drown! We will keep you updated on road closures as quickly as we can.
