I got an email from a reader, asking if Fitness Unlimited had sold to someone. The short answer is no, but yes. This is a locally-owned small business that has been around for over 40 years. I talked to Lara Pigue about this.
Lara explained that the Pigue family sold the building next door, that Jarrod and Diane Phillips have been leasing from them for Hangtime Trampoline Park. This is a good sign that the Phillips’ are doing well with this new business. It’s a good business move for Fitness Unlimited, too.
It will help us continue to survive in a rather contentious fitness environment,” Lara stated. “We hope to meet the needs of our health-conscious customers for years to come.”
She also noted that there is new manager at Fitness. Next time you stop in, say “hello” to Jessica Steele. Former manager Kim McClendon is still helping in other areas, but will be pursuing her Mary Kay business full-time.
