A fire at a home in the Salem community of Saline County claimed a life Thursday afternoon about 4 p.m., May 11, 2017. The house was on Kruse Loop. The name of the deceased has not yet been released. Another person was in the home and survived.
The Salem, Bryant, Collegeville, Lake Norrell, Paron and Crows Fire Departments responded to this fire, in addition to Medtran, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, the Saline County Coroner, Red Cross and Saline County 911 Dispatch.
It is undetermined yet the cause of the fire.
