A man on a motorcycle fatally wrecked with a pickup truck in the Fairplay area on Wednesday, according to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
On March 2, 2022 at about 12:25 p.m., Deputies responded to the area of Buffington Road and Point View Road, in the west part of Saline County, for an injury accident.
Once at the scene, Deputies observed a gray Ford F-150 pickup sitting partially in the roadway and partially in the driveway of a residence on Buffington Road. A black motorcycle was under the truck.
Pafford Ambulance EMS and Turtle Creek Fire personnel were performing life saving measures next to the accident on a white male, age 39. After attempting to revive the male, EMS personnel advised the patient was deceased.
It appeared the motorcycle attempted to pass the truck at high rate of speed as the truck was turning into a driveway. The motorcycle was unable to stop due to its high speed and struck the truck and slid underneath the truck.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
