The Bryant Police Department reports a gyrocopter crash at the Saline County Regional Airport today. There is one fatality, but the name is not being released yet.
On Saturday, September 3rd, 2016, at 4:34 p.m., the Bryant Police Department received a call of a small aircraft had crashed just near the Saline County Regional Airport in Bryant. The aircraft was identified as a single engine gyrocopter. Bryant Officers along with Fire rescue responded to the scene. After locating the gyrocopter and the pilot, the crash was then listed as a fatality.
The crash is being investigated and turned over to FAA at this time, who was also on scene at the airport.
The pilot’s name has not been released at this time due to notification of family members. The cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
