Josh Farmer, Bryant City Attorney, announces his run for Saline County Circuit Judge, Second Division.
“I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve Bryant as its City Attorney. Now, I want to become circuit judge so that I can use my education and work experience to serve the citizens of the entire county,” says Josh Farmer. “I am running for the Second Division Seat currently held by Judge Gary Arnold. Judge Arnold has served our county well with integrity and fairness; I will be honored to come serve behind him.”
Circuit Judge Gary Arnold has announced that he will retire at the end of the current term and his seat on the bench will be up for election in 2020, with the newly elected judge taking office in 2021.
“I love the Saline County community, and I’m proud that my family has chosen to call it home. I hope to win the election next year and continue to serve our citizens by running an efficient, effective and fair courtroom,” says Farmer.
Currently, Josh Farmer is the elected City Attorney for the City of Bryant, and manages a law practice based in Benton. In 2018, Farmer was appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson to serve as a Special Justice to the Arkansas Supreme Court. Farmer has also served as a Special Judge to the District Court in Saline County. He resides in Bryant with his wife, Dr. Sarah Farmer, and their two children, Lucy (4) and Beau (2).
The election for Circuit Judge will be held on March 3, 2020. The newly elected judge will take office in January of 2021.
