MySaline reported a few weeks ago that Landers/Penske had begun the process of selling their last remaining car dealerships in Saline County.
Everett Automotive Group (Everett) closed on a deal today to acquire Landers Ford in Benton. The dealership will operate under the name Everett Ford. This is the second acquisition by Everett in less than twelve months.
“We are excited to add Ford to the Everett brand right here in Saline County,” Dwight Everett, owner of Everett Automotive Group, said. “Our partnership with Ford, America’s best-selling brand, is a great opportunity for us to scale our brand in an existing market.”
Everett Ford is located at 19501 Interstate 30 in Benton. Eric Bertrand has been named executive manager of the Ford dealership.
“We are prepared to deliver our family-owned and customer-friendly approach to the Ford brand in this area,” Everett continued.
The Everett group now operates six dealerships – Everett Buick GMC located at 21115 Interstate 30 in Bryant, INFINITI of Central Arkansas located at 21000 Interstate 30 in Benton, Everett Chevrolet located at 19236 Interstate 30 in Benton, and two Toyota dealerships in northeast Texas. The group employs more than 300 in Saline County.
Together the stores are expected to retail more than 15,000 new and used vehicles in 2019.
