Just curious what we locals feel would be the business that would just take off in Benton and Bryant. Since we obviously have no control over who could start a business here, let’s just call it wishing to keep it fun, ok?
I wish for Books-A-Million!

There are 2 new Sporting Goods Stores:
Ellis Sporting Goods & MoDawg Cycles & Accessories

Red Lobster and Purple Cow

Red Lobster or Joes Crab Shack. A good book store would be great…something other than Hastings.

You know, a Mardel would probably do very well here!

I also would love a good, affordable catfish restaurant. You used to couldn’t throw a rock in Shreveport without hitting a catfish place that served you bean soup and hush puppies as soon as you sat down.

I really like going to Abe’s Old Feed House but my parents went 2 weekends ago and they have raised their prices again. They were high to begin with but I do like the food.

A lot of people make the trip from LR to eat at Denton’s. The name escapes me, but the gas station at the end of Mulberry road there by the river does catfish every Friday if I remember pretty cheap.
—– Reply by Michelle on January 17, 2009 at 12:27am
Yeah Riverside Grocery does have good fish but I have only been on Friday’s at lunch time. Do they also serve fish in the evenings???

For chicken and ribs nobody, and I mean nobody, comes close to Breitweisers.

Yes I have ordered from Breitweisers alot in the past. I have always wished that they would add on to their store and make a little eat in diner. I think that would be a hit for South Street for sure!

I know we have a Best Buy close by now but I would love to see a Fry’s Electronics…with regard to a bookstore I personally like Barns & Noble…Also on my wish list is a music store like Guitar Center…Lastly my wife and I both think that in the fast food category that a Fazoli’s would probably do pretty well…Hmmm…a morning of shopping at Fry’s and Guitar Center, then a quick meal at Fazoli’s and a peaceful nap with a good book from Barns & Noble…Sounds like a winner to me…

No! I didn’t know that. We could all “drink at Cliff’s” or something. And when one of us came in we could all yell something like “NORM”
I’d like that.

My family ate there tonight and they are quite pricey. $15.50 per adult and $5.50 for kids 4 and up. With a family of 4+ that is really too expensive. 🙁

How about a Doggy Day Care! When you go to work, you wouldn’t have to worry about your “kids” being alone and bored because they would have other dogs to play with.

I have a friend who takes her dogs to a doggie daycare. I am not sure if it is in Little Rock or Saline County but will have to check on that one.

I would like to see a nice state of the art community health center with an indoor walking trail, olympic size indoor pool big enough for lap swimming and water classes and other fitness options. There are a lot of seniors that would really enjoy this. I know there is an option now but the pool is too small and crowded to move around in. A community as small as Fairfield Bay has a wonderful center. I know….I’m dreaming. Guess all us old folks need to learn how to ride a horse so we can use the equestrian center.
