Tonight is the big night for the Saline County Christmas Parade in downtown Benton!
The procession begins at 6 p.m. at CW Lewis Stadium. It will go north on Market St, turn right on North St, then right on Main St. Click to see parade route map.
The theme for the parade floats is sure to make the crowd smile: it’s “Your Favorite Classic Christmas Show.”
Right before the parade begins, KATV’s Ned Perme will be set up at the southwest corner of the Saline County Courthouse – on Market St. near Sevier St. Ned will be live on the 6 p.m. news with Kari Kai Zuber, 5th grader at Harmony Grove Middle School. She wrote the winning essay out of all the 5th graders in Saline County, so she gets to flip the switch to turn on the all the beautiful holiday lights at the courthouse! Read Kari’s essay below and you’ll see why she won.
