UPDATE JUNE 20, 2023, 8PM
Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) crews completed the temporary conversion on Tuesday, June 20th, of the intersection of Highway 167 and Woodson Lateral. It is now a 4-way stop.
In addition to placing new stop signs on each side of the intersection, ARDOT has installed rumble strips, stop ahead signs, new speed limit signs, and digital message board signs on Highway 167 Northbound and Southbound.
This conversion is there for the duration of the repairs being made to the traffic light control box. The it was completely destroyed on Friday night by a traffic accident. Watch MySaline for updates.
Traffic flow will change temporarily at Highway 167 and Woodson Lateral Road.
Due to a vehicle accident Friday night, the traffic lights at the intersection of Highway 167 and Woodson Lateral Road are not currently functioning. On Friday, June 15th, the traffic control box for these lights was damaged in a collision involving an 18-wheeler.
Since it will take some time to make these lights operational again, traffic flow at the intersection will change temporarily. Traffic on Woodson Lateral Road will come to a stop at this crossing, while traffic on Highway 167 will continue to go north or south. There will be flashing stops signs at the intersection for motorists traveling east or west on West Woodson Lateral Road.
Be sure to exercise caution when traveling in this area. Study the graphic for the Temporary Traffic Flow.
