The Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) confirmed that escapee Edward Charles Anderson is now in custody at the Saline County Detention Center as of Tuesday morning.
The SCSO said in a statement, “We would like to thank the public for their help with tips and information regarding the whereabouts of Anderson. The numerous calls and messages from the public helped deputies locate Anderson. Thank you for participating in helping keep the county and community safe.”

An inmate escaped Monday afternoon from Saline County Detention Center and is still at large.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on June 22nd, Edward Charles Anderson walked away from the Saline County Detention Center. Possible areas of location are Bryant and Alexander.
Anderson is described as an African American male, age 39 (date of birth is June 15, 1981.) He was last reported wearing a blue and white striped shirt and blue jeans.
He was arrested by Bryant Police and booked on June 19th for the following:
- Theft Of Property (>$500 <$2500) – Felony
- Breaking Or Entering – Felony
- Obstructing Governmental Operations – Misdemeanor
- Resisting Arrest – Misdemeanor
