An Eagle Scout in Benton is urging locals to help with food pantries.
Cole Clift called MySaline this morning and told us the “blessing box” (or little pantry) at Holland Chapel Baptist Church is being continuously emptied. He is a grocery store employee and is spending his own money to try and keep the box stocked, but he says every time he returns to check, it is nearly empty again.
I promised Cole I would get the word out. There are lots of other pantries around our community that are in need, so I hope readers will look at the food pantries on the list and bring food from the store or from your own supplies.
Cole has offered to come pick up your donations from your porch or curb if you’ll text him at (501) 722-2895.
