The 6th annual Bryant Rotary Rubber Duck Derby is scheduled for May 14th. It will be held at Mills Park in Bryant. According to the Bryant Rotary Club, this is the biggest rubber duck race in Arkansas. Attendees will watch 5000 rubber ducks race down a manmade river. This event is an all day affair for the whole family.
The day begins at 8:00 a.m. with the Duck Derby Dash 5K, sponsored by Entergy Arkansas. Runners will race through the trails at Mills Park to complete the 3.1 miles. Register at https://runsignup.com/Race/AR/Bryant/BryantRotaryDuckDerbyDash5k.
After the awards ceremony, the festivities begin at 10 a.m. The kids will enjoy inflatables, donated by Spacewalk, and an entire game zone, sponsored by Arvest Bank. The festival is free for the whole family. It is a great opportunity to enjoy the day at Mills Park. There will be food trucks for lunch and entertainment on the main stage, sponsored by Wright Dental.
The big rubber duck race commences at 2 p.m. Attendees gather around the manmade river to cheer on their duck. The top 10 ducks will win amazing prizes sponsored by local businesses. If one of your ducks comes in 1st or 2nd place, you’ll take home $1250 cash. Ducks coming in 3rd-10th place will get prizes valued at $500 or more. Event organizers say they never forget the last place duck – it will win $500 cash.

There are three local nonprofits that benefit from this event. The Bryant Boys & Girls Clubs, Imagination Library of Saline County, and The Kids Closet will split the proceeds.
