Expect lane closures and detours in the Springhill/Hilltop area as the City of Bryant begins a Stormwater Drainage Project on October 7th.
In September, the city announced a $300,000 grant from the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management’s state mitigation grant program for this drainage project. According to a statement from the City, this area has been an ongoing public safety concern when there is bad weather. The design work was completed prior to applying for the grant which means construction crews are ready to get started.
Beginning October 7th mobilization on the project will begin and actual construction should follow the week of October 11th. We anticipate this project to take 6-12 weeks for completion and there will be managed lane closures as well as possible detours during scheduled weekends.
If possible during construction avoid the area, if you must travel please use caution. We appreciate your patience as we begin this much-needed stormwater project.
