The total solar eclipse is over. It was pretty amazing while it lasted, but now you don’t need the protective glasses anymore. Don’t throw them away. They can be reused or recycled.
Here are a few options for you to keep those glasses out of the landfill, while helping someone else.
One is to take them to Natural State Market, and they will box them up for donation to people in the next TSE over Latin America. Find Natural State Market at 303 N. Main Street in downtown Benton Arkansas. They are inside the building by all the food trucks. Drop off your glasses by Saturday April 13, 2024, so they can go ahead and send them away.
Can’t make it by the April 13th deadline? You can also drop your eclipse glasses at one of the Saline County Library locations: in Benton at 1800 Smithers, in Bryant at 201 Prickett Rd, and in East End at 24005 Arch Street Pike.
Another option is to send them to Eclipse Glasses USA. Ship by August 1st to:
Eclipse Glasses USA, LLC,
PO Box 50571,
Provo, UT 84605.
It’s a shame we won’t need all of these glasses again until 2045 – that is, unless you are traveling to somewhere in Latin America to see that one in October 2, 2024. If that’s the case, maybe you can take all the donated glasses with you!
