Spring 2020 brings a new event to Benton – one that might make you think you’re decades ago in time.
Organizers from BizBuz Events say it’s going to be a totally radical event called “The Crazy 80s.” The night will feature the live 80s tribute band, Bueller, from Nashville. This event is set for April 30, 2020 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Benton Event Center.
Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for purchase and there will be several cash bars.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to help CASA of Saline County widen their reach into the community and advocate for more children.
The night will also feature a Doc Brown impersonator from the movie “Back to the Future,” along with a DeLorean “time machine” where you can get a selfie with your friends. You too could be an impersonator, since there is a look-alike contest with a $400 prize.
Organizers say, “You’ll be singing ‘Sweet Dreams are Made of This’ if the judges award you first prize. For second place, all we can say is, ‘Another One Bites The Dust.'”
However there is another contest to simply dress in your best 80s attire. Prizes of $200 each will go to the best-dressed 80s male and female.
You could also win the 80s dance contest where the prize is $400 if you can “Bust a Move” better than anyone else at the party. Also, be the fastest in solving a Rubik’s Cube you’ll win $100.
If you have a 1980s car or truck, you could win priority front door parking. After you purchase tickets, send an email with a “Photograph” of your 80s car or truck and you might experience “Hysteria” if you win a front door parking spot.
Get tickets at online at www.TheCrazy80s.com or call the toll-free number on the order page. Oh wait – one more contest – the first 200 people to purchase a ticket will be entered into a drawing for $200 in cash. The winner will be announced at the event.
