A Benton man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another. The Benton Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Country Oaks Road around 9:45 p.m., Wednesday, January 25th in reference to two male subjects involved in an altercation.
The disturbance became physical, and one subject suffered stab wounds during the struggle. One of the two parties involved, Cleophus Belcher, age 51, of Benton, was arrested and charged with Battery 2nd, a Class D Felony. The victim was transported for treatment with injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.
