Many readers saw MySaline’s article this week about a new business at Congo and Longhills in Benton and wondered about traffic at that intersection. It is apparently not widely known that that City of Benton has plans to improve the intersection. Some of you will love what I’m about to say next, and some of you will really not love it.
I had to dig in the archives of city and state meetings, but I found that Benton has received federal matching funding for about four times the amount the City puts on the project. The following documents show that a roundabout will be placed at Congo and Longhills. One of them further states that the construction will begin in the fall.
