Yesterday, MySaline showed a picture that seemed to indicate that a new location of Newk’s Eatery would be opening in Benton. The picture was of a ticket-sized business card for Sport Clips that showed the following map. I called Newk’s corporate office and they could neither confirm nor deny that they would put a restaurant here. So that’s all MySaline could report.
Today, I received an email from Tracy Henderson, a spokesperson on the Newk’s public relations team that stated the following:
“While Newk’s would love to locate in Benton, the franchisee in the market is not actively working on a site. I’ll be sure to contact you as soon as Newk’s has something to announce.”
This doesn’t mean they are never coming to Benton, and we’re not sure how that info ended up on the Sport Clips business card, but they say they aren’t working on anything here right now.
