C.J. Engel, a Saline County native, and Executive Director of the Arkansas 911 Board has announced that he will be running for Saline County Quorum Court in District 9:
“Being born and raised in Benton, I am proud to be from Saline County and excited to announce my candidacy for the Republican nomination for Justice of the Peace in District 9,” Engel said.
C.J. brings leadership and fiscal management experience from both the public and private 911 sectors, including previously serving as Director of Emergency Management and 911 for Saline County where he was named Arkansas Emergency Manager of the Year in 2018 and gained strong knowledge of each county office’s operations and budget.
“I look forward to bringing my background working with local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as non-profit and private organizations, to the Saline County Quorum Court.
While I have had the opportunity to work with current elected officials and many of the departments in Saline County, I am hopeful for and would appreciate your support to serve you and our community alongside them in this new capacity as Justice of the Peace.”
Within the past decade, Saline County has been the 3rd fastest growing county in Arkansas.
“Our community and leaders have done an excellent job in securing an environment that attracts and supports growth for our area. With that same growth comes the responsibility for local government to efficiently keep up with increased demand on infrastructure and public safety while still planning for additional future impacts and needs. Like in my public safety role, I am committed to serving our community on the Quorum Court, through collaboration, communication, and fiscal responsibility,” he said.
Engel is a graduate of Benton High School, Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Emergency Administration Management, and the University of Arkansas with a master’s in Operations Management.
He is married to his wife of 6 years, Kiley Jane Engel, a Registered Nurse at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. They are members of New Life Church Saline County in Bryant.
The Primary Election will be held May 24, 2022. See below for other 2022 campaign announcements.
