The Civitan Apartments at Jackman and Bird St are currently on fire. Benton Fire Department is on the scene.
These apartments off affordable housing for those over age 62 and those with developmental disabilities. Video Below.
Bekka Wilkerson of Civitan stated that everyone got out of the building with no injuries, including animals. The staff is assessing trying to find 20 residents a place to stay.
“We owe a debt of gratitude to the Benton Fire Department, Bryant Fire Department and Pafford EMS,” Wilkerson stated.
