If you clicked on some of my job announcements from Friday, then you saw the soft launch of the City of Bryant’s new website. It’s pretty and it’s easy to navigate on mobile. Here’s their press release below, but you can check it out for yourself at www.cityofbryant.org.
The City of Bryant website was recently updated with new features to provide a higher level of self-service capabilities for the citizens of Saline County’s fastest growing city.
The new user-friendly design features improved navigation to allow residents to stay abreast of current city news, pay water bills, review meeting agendas and minutes, review bid postings, view city department reports and alert city staffers of any issues in the city that need attention.
“The updated website is just one example of the efforts that the city administration continues making to stay current and meet the needs of our citizens,” said Mayor Jill Dabbs. “Our community is very mobile with almost 80% of the residents commuting to work, so electronic communications media are a key aspect of empowering our residents to have access to services.”
New features include:
- Notify Me – improved functionality provides the ability for residents to receive alerts from the city about important news;
- Alert Center – for non-weather related emergency alerts
- Report a Concern – citizens can easily report concerns such as street light outages, potholes, code enforcement violations and other issues via this feature. Once completed the online form generates a work order and is sent to the appropriate city department to research and address.
- Bid Postings – bid postings for projects and services as well as bid tabulations are online allowing city contractors to view open bids and receive alerts when bids are posted.
- Calendar – Complete meeting calendar that will include links to published meeting agenda’s as well as an event calendar that residents can add information to and receive updates on.
- Mobile Friendly Formatting – residents can now access all of the above functions easily, from their mobile device.
The Bryant High School yearbook staff and local photographer Cameron Holt are content partners for the new site and will provide images throughout the year from around Bryant.
If you have any questions about the site, or would like to give input on what you would like to see there in the future, please contact the mayor’s office at 501-943-0302 or email us at [email protected].
We encourage everyone to go online today and sign up for alerts and notifications.
