It’s been about a year since Kay Diemer decided to take off at lunch and stay gone. She closed the doors to the decades-old restaurant in Benton, famous for their legendary mile-high pies. Locals gained a little bit of closure after learning it was a family-motivated decision. But what would happen to the old building where so many memories were made?
Well, we finally have an answer to that question, thanks to the Tie Dye Travels blog. Author Kat Robinson interviewed Diemer, as well as the new owner that some folks will find familiar. His name is Bruno. Click to the story: http://www.tiedyetravels.com/2014/11/brunos-ed-and-kays.html
While we wait for Bruno to clean up, fix up and stir it up, here’s a documentary that was filmed at Ed and Kay’s, thankfully just prior to the closing.

Here’s where we learned that they were indeed closed. http://www.tiedyetravels.com/2014/03/ed-and-kays.html
