The Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) seeks the suspects picture in relation to incidents of check forgery. Saline County residents reported checks stolen and during the investigation, the SCSO found that one check was used at Shoe Carnival in North Little Rock.
The two suspects pictured, both African-American females, allegedly used account numbers from stolen checks in order to create new, forged checks with fake names and other personal information. A SCSO statement says they then used these forged checks to steal money from the victim’s checking accounts. One of the false names used is “Varneasha N. Taylor.”
The first report of these suspects forging checks in this manner was on January 3, 2019, but they may have been doing so longer.
