A new business will be opening soon in the former location of a Benton hardware store.
It’s been about six months since we bid farewell to the Sutherland’s at 1209 Military Road in Benton (map below). They apparently lost their lease and so they moved out in July 2021. The new business plans to open in February March 1st, and is called Central Station Furniture & Flea Market.
According to Stacy Vines, the area manager, his wife Nikkole Vines will manage the Benton location. There are two other locations in Hot Springs and Glenwood. All three are owned by Lewis Travis.
Stacy said the building has been repainted inside and out, and the old tile has been removed, taking the floor back to the concrete. He said they will have room for somewhere around 500 vendor booths. The space will be around 75% booths and 25% furniture. They sell new, used and antique furniture, as well as buy furniture.
Central Station will be looking for new vendors as soon as they open the doors to this location. Stacy said to watch for signs to go up. You can also check out the Facebook group for the Hot Springs location at this link.
