The Arkansas Optometric Association board of directors welcomes Dr. Sarah Denman Lunsford of East End as a board member. Other members are:

Dr. Lunsford, the daughter of Jeff and Peggy Denman, is a fourth-generation optometrist practicing at the Eyecare Center of Saline County. She is a graduate of DeWitt High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas in 2004. She then went on to graduate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN with her Doctorate of Optometry in 2008. She is an active member and past president of the Little Rock South Lions Club and the District GLT (Global Leadership Training) Coordinator for District 7N Arkansas Lions Clubs.
She serves as co-chair of the continuing education committee and on the legislative committee for the Arkansas Optometric Association. Dr. Lunsford also volunteers on the medical response team for East Union Missionary Baptist Church and was the first optometric physician to staff a school-based health clinic in Arkansas. Dr. Lunsford and her husband, Stony Lunsford, reside in East End.
The Arkansas Optometric Association represents Arkansas doctors of optometry. The primary objectives of the association are improving the quality of eye care and vision health and increasing its availability to all Arkansans. The association makes a concerted effort to educate the public on how to take care of their eyes and maintain good eye health and vision.
