I love telling MySaline readers about new developments in the business landscape. Sometimes it flies at me faster than I can catch it – and that’s a good problem to have. Today, I’ll tell you about three businesses opening their doors in historic downtown Benton that will have you covered – with insurance, or maybe with ice cream or a new hairdo.
James Insurance isn’t new in Saline County, but they are moving from their location on Old Hot Springs Highway to a new one at 114 E. Conway (formerly Thomas Insurance Agency). Their first day in the new location is Monday, March 4th, 2019.
Jana James Toler explains, “We had outgrown our building and took advantage of a larger office space in the heart of downtown Benton. It has better parking and gives us more room to work and grow. It is easier access for our customers.”
It also puts them right next door to Main St. Station.
MySaline told you a couple weeks ago that Olde Crow General Store is coming to Main St. Station at 301 N. Main (at Conway Street). Owners Damon and Jana Helton are bringing many other businesses with them, and one of them is Just Ice Cream. Jonathan and Tia Wind will be serving up hand-dipped cones, sundaes and floats. The name of their operation would imply they are serving *just* ice cream, but this isn’t any ice cream, it’s Loblolly ice cream, made locally in Little Rock. Their goal is to open in April.
Brooklyn Stuart is the proud owner of a new salon called Broox Beauty Bar 118 North Main Street, next door to Rooster’s Barber Shop (across the street from Lavish Boutique, The Loft Nutrition & Urban Emage).
Stuarts says, “It’s very modern and young! Unlike any setup I have seen around here.”
The grand opening for the salon was on Saturday, March 2nd, 2019. Here are some pictures.
Congrats to all these businesses. If you hear of any business news or any other kind of news in Saline County, email [email protected] and tell us all about it. We love pictures and video too.
