I was out around town recently and ended up with the following pictures on my phone:
1.
At Alcoa Exchange in between Rue 21 and Old Navy, the gaping hole left by a completely burned-down Shoe Carnival is rising like a phoenix into a new structure. Yes, it’s still Shoe Carnival, abs the location by Walmart in Bryant is just a temporary lease until this is finished. Will it be ready in time for school shopping?

I’ve been asked many times what this building on Alcoa Road is going to be, in front of the new Holiday Inn Express. The questions have stopped now, and I’m going to attribute that to the giant sign on the front. Buffalo Wild Wings has been the answer all along!
3.
I went with family to pound back some nachos at TaMolly’s off N. Reynold’s Road and – hey what – that’s not their font! They changed their sign and the lettering on the building and also the menus. The nachos were still in the same font as before!
Previous look, as shown on Google Street View.
Mmm… nachos.
4.
I don’t know what to say about this. A nice little car parked behind Chili’s on Interstate 30 at Alcoa Exchange. I have to wonder if the driver knows the sign is there. Either way, it doesn’t mean they do or do not go “nuts” as a result of “cowboy butts.”
