The City of Bryant has a program to pick up yard waste all year from residents in the city limits. It’s an easy process once you know the rules. Just notify the City that you are ready for them to pick up your yard waste. They will schedule your house on one of their collection days. The city picks up yard waste each Tuesday.
See below for what they will ? and will not? pick up:
- Yes – Shrubs
- Yes – Rootballs with no dirts
- Yes – Branches & trees – less than 8 feet long
- Yes – Leaves & grass trimmings – must be in paper bags
- No – Dirt
- No – Lumber
- No – Treated wood
- No – Rocks
There is one more important note – where to put the yard waste for pickup. Place your yard waste at the curbside. Make sure it is at least five feet away from mailboxes, light poles or other obstructions, and not underneath any wires or low-hanging trees. This is to make room for the machine to pick up everything, without causing damage to surrounding items.
You can contact Public Works by phone or by going to the City’s website. All pick up requests must be entered prior to 4:00 p.m. on Monday for pick up on Tuesday. Any requests made after 4:00 p.m. will be placed on the pick-up list for the following week. The phone number is 501-943-0468. Three webpage with the form is at THIS LINK.
