In the wake of the big storm on early Sunday morning, April 30, 2017, some Bryant residents are wondering what can be done to aid flooding. Bryant Mayor Jill Dabbs put out a statement regarding the efforts of the City.
“I want to assure the residents of Bryant that were victims of the recent flooding we experienced that the city staff is working diligently to secure all resources available to us to be able to even more aggressively address the insufficiency of Bryant’s stormwater system. We have made a number of stormwater improvements in recent years but we still have a ways to go. This stormwater issue remains a top priority. FTN engineering is under contract with the city to assist I will be reporting back to the residents over the next few weeks with what our new go forward plan will be, what our financial resources and limitations are and how we will work around those limitations to ensure every neighborhood in Bryant is thriving.”
