There is some confusion about who is eligible to vote in the upcoming Bryant School Millage Election. I’m going to attempt to clear that up for everyone. The school district’s borders are vast and they reach outside of Bryant and into Alexander, Bauxite, Benton, Paron and Shannon Hills.
1. LIVE IN THE DISTRICT
Being able to vote in a school election is based on where you live. It doesn’t matter if you have kids or where they go to school. This election is for those who live within the Bryant School District borders. That doesn’t mean you have to study a map though… see below.
2. BE REGISTERED TO VOTE IN THE DISTRICT
Assuming your residence is inside the borders of the Bryant School District, your voter registration must be valid showing that you live in the District.
3. FIND OUT ONLINE
Go to this page on the VoterView website and submit your name and birthdate. Then you’ll see your registered address, and whether you’re registered within the Bryant School District borders. You’ll also see a link for the sample ballot for the upcoming school election. See below for examples of registration page and the sample ballot for the school election. Click either image to enlarge it.
4. BE REGISTERED BY THE DEADLINE
If you find out you live in the Bryant School District but you aren’t registered in the District:
- go to the Saline County Clerk’s office from 8am – 430pm at 215 N Main St, Suite 9 in Benton,
- or call them at 501-303-5630,
- or go to this page on the Secretary of State’s website for more info.
The deadline to be registered to vote in the Bryant Millage Election is February 13th, 2017. Early voting begins March 7th and Election Day is March 14th. See more info at the links below.
