The Bryant School Board recently approved a five-year strategic plan to move the School District from a very good school district to its vision of becoming the state’s premier provider of educational services, according to spokesperson Devin Sherrill.
The strategic planning process began with collecting information from district stakeholders to better understand their perception of Bryant Public Schools. Employees, parents at all grade levels, secondary students in grades 6-12, and community members were surveyed.
Stakeholders were invited to become part of the collaborative effort to develop the strategic plan. A committee of parents, community members, board members, and district administrators evaluated and prioritized the data from the survey. The group worked over two months to not only envision a future for the district, but also develop a road map to guide the process. District leadership teams determined targeted measures essential to reaching the goals over the next five years.
The strategic plan will be used to guide decision-making and evaluate current programs for effectiveness, at the district and school level. The plan includes goals, priorities, and actions based on multiple data sources. Specific measures will be used to monitor success and recommend areas for improvement.
The community is invited to read Our Plan for Success at BryantSchools.org. Printed copies are available at each school and the district Administration Office.
