Officers with the Benton Police Department have made an arrest in connection with recent thefts in the area of W. Sevier Street.
At approximately 9:22 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, officers responded to a report of a home in the 2000 block of W. Sevier Street that was broken into the previous night. While investigating this case, dispatchers advised officers of a suspicious vehicle that had been reported in the area about 1:30 a.m., but the vehicle was not located upon the arrival of the officers.
A vehicle matching the description from 1:30 a.m. was located about noon Tuesday, Jan. 10 in the area. Harvey Gene Brady, 36, of Bryant was located in the vehicle with numerous items found to be reported as stolen from multiple properties in the area. Brady was transported to the Saline County Detention Center and faces charges of Residential Burglary, three counts of Breaking and Entering, Theft of Property, and Carrying a Weapon.
