The City of Bryant wants to celebrate Bryant Black Sox Baseball’s 9U team, who went all… the… way this year and took home the 2022 Cal Ripken World Series Championship.
This 9-year-old team traveled to Stuart, Florida to play their sox off and came out on top on Saturday, August 7th after playing 5 different teams. Coach Matt Orender said they went 2-1 in pool play and were undefeated in bracket play. The Cal Ripken World Series is by invitation only, so you have to win regionals to get there. You can see their State Championship photo below.
Bryant Mayor Allen Scott and the City Council invite the community to come line the streets on the parade route to lift up these talented kids. The team will start their parade on Friday, August 12th. It will begin at 5:25 p.m. from Bryant High School, taking a right onto Reynolds Road, and another right onto Boone Road, ending at The Center at Bishop Park.
