One Bryant resident and three others have won big this week in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
“About 70,000 Arkansas lottery players win on scratch-off tickets every day,” said Eric Hagler, executive director of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL).
Doris Lowery of Jacksonville claimed a Play It Again® prize of $250,000 yesterday at the ASL Claim Center in downtown Little Rock. Every instant game qualifies for entry into the Play It Again drawing where the prize winner is selected randomly from all eligible entries. Lowery’s name was selected on Sept. 2, but only came forward this week to claim her prize. She plans to buy a car and pay bills with her winnings.
Kimberly Johnson of Bryant won $200,000 on a $10 Black & Gold scratch-off ticket. She purchased the ticket at the Road Runner located at 23190 I-30 in Bryant. She plans to buy her son a car.
Timothy Drye Sr. of Carlisle claimed a $100,000 prize he won playing a $5 Show Me instant ticket. He said he plans to pay off some bills and go eat a steak. Drye bought the ticket at the Walmart Market, 8801 Highway 107 in Sherwood.
Matthew Stout of Lonoke had a good pay day yesterday from his $20 $50,000 Payday scratch-off ticket he purchased at the Lone Oak Deli and Grocery Story, 1021 N. Center St. in Lonoke. He plans to help his family with his winnings.
“Of course, not all winners get to claim huge prizes, but they are still winning,” Hagler said. “In fact, Arkansas players win more than $1 million on scratch-off daily.”
