The City of Bryant announced they were honored with an Arkansas Digital Government Transformation award for the City’s Shop Bryant social media campaign. The awards are by the Information Network of Arkansas (INA).
According to a press release from the City, #ShopBryant is a social media campaign designed to promote small and local businesses within the City of Bryant. The City utilized its website, email and social media platform to promote economic stimulus within the area, while fostering invaluable relationships between the city government and local businesses.
“The City is blessed with employees whose innovation, initiative, and passion continue to make us a stronger, more service oriented local government.” stated Bryant Mayor Jill Dabbs.
The INA also recognized the City with an honorable mention for the Digital Pioneer Award regarding its work on the “Bryant Planning Module.”
The City’s Planning Department has worked to create a digital system to address Bryant’s rapid development. The department adopted new software to address the City’s exponential growth that allows staff easier and more efficient access to relevant information. By utilizing the new program, the planning department has streamlined its planning and zoning processes.
Dabbs stated, “The honorable mention from the INA reflects our continued commitment to streamlining our internal work processes within our Planning Department to ensure continued support for both our residential and commercial developers.”
