Southwest Water has issued a boil order until further notice for customers on Highway 70 from Kream Kastle to Highway 128.
This affects approximately 82 customers located along Highway 70 from 15280 Highway 70 to the end of the line including Beck Lane, Paradise Lane, and Ira Williams Lane.
INSTRUCTIONS ON BOIL ORDERS FROM THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH:
AS A PRECAUTION, ALL AFFECTED CUSTOMERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE
WATER MAY BE UNSAFE FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION, AND WATER USED FOR DRINKING,
COOKING, MAKING ICE, BRUSHING TEETH, OR WASHING DISHES BE BOILED BRISKLY FOR
ONE (1) MINUTE PRIOR TO USE. ALL ICE CUBES SHOULD BE DISCARDED AND ONLY BOILED
WATER BE USED FOR MAKING ICE. AS AN ALTERNATIVE BOTTLED WATER MAY BE USED.
THIS “PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE” WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL THE
PROBLEM HAS BEEN CORRECTED, AN ADEQUATE DISINFECTANT LEVEL IS ESTABLISHED
THROUGHOUT THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND A BACTERIOLOGICALSURVEY SHOWS
THAT THE WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK.
