According to the Benton Police Department, Officer Andrew Stovall assisted a woman who was stranded on Interstate 30. He helped to jump start her car and find a nearby mechanic. Stovall was just doing his job, but what he didn’t know is that the woman was the mother of a big television star. Norman Reedus heard about the incident and posted on Twitter, thanking Stovall. If you didn’t know, Reedus plays Daryl Dixon on the huge hit show, “The Walking Dead.”

“I didn’t know at the time that she was the mom of a big Hollywood movie and TV star,” Officer Stovall said, “But I definitely know now!”
Benton officers work Interstate 30 as part of the BICEP program – Benton Interstate Criminal Enforcement Patrol. They regularly help motorists, even though their main duty is to catch the dangerous criminals that travel the Interstate. You can click here to learn more about the BICEP program.
