A Benton man is in custody and the Benton Police Department (BNPD) is investigating, after an incident at a motel Friday night.

BNPD officers responded to Eagle Suites, 17701 I-30 South, just after 7 p.m. Friday in reference to a disturbance.
Officers and detectives on scene were able to peacefully resolve the situation, and the suspect, David Young, age 33, of Benton, was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were sustained by Young or officers.
Young was transported for evaluation prior to being transferred to the Saline County Jail. He is charged with Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree, a Class B Felony. This incident remains an ongoing investigation. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
