The Benton Police Department is investigating two unrelated vehicle accidents, each with a fatality.

Benton Police Department officers were patrolling the Hickory Heights neighborhood around 3:30 a.m. Monday when they encountered suspicious activity near Dapple Gray Road. Officers attempted to make contact with multiple subjects, who fled on foot and split in opposite directions. Some of the suspects entered a vehicle and fled but were subsequently stopped at Northshore and Razorback Road.
Upon further investigation, officers found multiple stolen items in the vehicle. Two juvenile suspects, both of Hot Springs, were taken into custody. They were charged with Fleeing on Foot; four counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Minor; 13 counts of Breaking or Entering; Engaging in Continuing of a Criminal Enterprise; and Theft of Motor Vehicle.
Antorious Scott, 20, of Malvern, was charged with Fleeing on Foot; 4 counts of Theft of Property; 13 counts of Breaking or Entering; Theft of a Motor Vehicle; two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor; and Engaging in Continuing of a Criminal Enterprise.
BNPD Criminal Investigations Division assumed the investigation, which remains ongoing. At least one additional suspect is being sought.
