If you’ve been wondering what’s being built next to the new Saline County Career and Technical Center – and I know you have, because I’ve gotten plenty of messages about – here’s your answer.
The Benton Fire Department is building a new station #6 to serve the area. The population has been there for years, but with the new school there and more facilities to come from the Benton School District, it makes sense to have protection nearby.
The Benton Fire Department is now accepting applications for those who want to be a Firefighter. Application must be submitted before you are eligible to take the Physical Agility Test.
There three upcoming dates to take the Physical Agility Exam:
Feb 5, 2022Rescheduled to Feb 12, 2022. This gives candidates another week to apply as well.- Mar 5, 2022

Each day the exam will begin at 8:00 a.m. In order to take the Physical Agility exam, you MUST submit your application to Human Resources at 114 S. East Street, Benton, Arkansas.
An exam packet providing all information concerning testing will be given to you after application is made.
The physical agility exam will be administered at the Central Fire Station located at 220 S. Main St., Benton, Arkansas.
You must pass the physical agility exam to be eligible to take the Civil Service written exam. The written exam will be April 4, 2022. For more information call 501-776-5960.
